Among the many things for which I have to be grateful to God is the fact Christian Science has always been a part of my life. Science has shown me the ever-presence of God's law, and through this I have resolved the challenges that I have faced in my life. The teachings of Christian Science, accompanied by prayer, have never failed to meet my needs.

I understand that for many the idea of relying upon spiritual means for healing physical difficulties and illness is hard to comprehend. But since I have always known Christian Science and have experienced such healing, it seems natural to me.

One such healing took place when it appeared that my shoulder had been severely dislocated. This happened one night quite inadvertently. Because I was sleeping soundly, I wasn't aware of this at first. Eventually, however, I was wakened by strong pain.
