Prayer
Let me make
the time
for prayer,
In a quiet place
set aside
from all else
that I do.
The practice
of prayer,
like piano playing,
requires an ear
for harmony,
With no thought that
others might hear.
God
alone
will
receive the sounds
as the prayers
rise
rich
and
clear.
