"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits"...
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits" (Psalms). I want to express my gratitude for "all his benefits" that I have experienced over the years.
One afternoon the school nurse came to my home. She reported that my youngest daughter was having trouble hearing and that her kindergarten teacher was quite concerned about her. I informed the nurse that our family had noticed that my daughter could not hear us unless she was facing us. I added that we were having a Christian Science practitioner pray for her.
Later I read an appropriate article from The Christian Science Journal to my daughter. She gave the article her full attention. I prayed and studied Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, reasoning that hearing is not a material function. Truly it is a spiritual faculty man derives from God, Spirit. Therefore it cannot be distorted or diminished. My daughter was quickly healed. Years later, when she was attending a different school, hearing tests were administered and she passed without any problem.
