Through Christian Science I have found a closeness with God that has met all my needs abundantly. I had the privilege of growing up in a family where both my parents were Christian Scientists, and Sunday School and Primary class instruction in Christian Science have given me a strong foundation in this wonderful Science. My love for and gratitude to God prompt me to submit the following testimony of a healing that is very precious to me because it came about as the result of our family's prayers.

My husband and I were visiting our daughter and her family, and our little granddaughter and I were sharing spiritual thoughts, angel messages, that came to us while reading the Bible Lesson. That morning we rejoiced to know that because we love God, we are "planted in the house of the Lord" (Psalms); we felt safe. Later that morning our grandson was on his way to his first day at school, and his mother asked him, "Andrew, have you remembered to put your armour on?" "I never take it off!" was his reply. They were speaking of the spiritual protection that comes from living one's understanding of God.

When Andrew finished school that morning, we decided to spend an hour at the beach. The two children ran off to play on the rocks. Andrew slipped, falling on his head and cutting it severely. Our daughter called for a towel. She said the bleeding would not stop. My husband began to pray, and our grand-daughter and I prayed too. I knew God's ever-presence includes only good for His children.
