When ethnic or racial strife provokes fear, we need more than protection for ourselves. We need the spiritual love that melts hatred and supplies courage.
Our contribution to society doesn't depend on where we are and what we do for a living. It depends on what we are learning of our God-given ability and strength.
Teachers often find that knowing their students is as important as knowing their subject. The author found he also needed to know more of man's real nature, as God's expression.
Wishing we could "do it over" doesn't fix things. But a higher, spiritual view can have a remarkable effect, showing that it's never too late for God's power to be seen—and felt.
