During the Christmas break of my freshman year at college I was told by a dentist that my wisdom teeth needed to be removed. The next time I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned, the dentist insisted that my wisdom teeth were growing at a wrong angle and would cause me trouble if not removed soon. I could feel the pressure these teeth were exerting on my other teeth.
Although I had grown up attending a Christian Science Sunday School and had always loved Christian Science, it was during this freshman year at college that I had really begun to treasure the understanding of God I was gaining through reliance on prayer for healing. I now felt that this was an opportunity for further spiritual growth.
I called a Christian Science practitioner to ask for prayerful support. I had imagined the healing would probably be a while in coming, so I was overawed when it began immediately. I felt each of the four wisdom teeth gently move into its proper position, and all sense of pressure on the other teeth was eliminated.
