Quod erat demonstrandum
Engulfing fear
shivered,
said No,
You're not tested!
You haven't proved!
You're no saint yourself!
But the call was
for my prayers.
Then I saw where Life
was really being lived:
in the city foursquare,
And in God's city—
no hurt heart,
no tangled web,
no sensuality.
I found pity—
Christly pity
and His healing.
