I Wore glasses for a number of years before I was introduced to Christian Science, and after I obtained my membership in the branch church I attended I was still using glasses. At first this seemed quite acceptable to me.
One day, however, I read this question in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 489): "How can man, reflecting God, be dependent on material means for knowing, hearing, seeing?" This question startled me, and I realized that since man is the idea, or reflection, of God, he does not require material assistance to see.
