It is with a deep sense of gratitude and love for God and Christian Science that I share this testimony.
While visiting a friend during a short vacation I was suddenly seized with an excruciating pain in one knee and could barely walk. I also had difficulty in breathing, and one arm became black and blue from the wrist to the elbow. I telephoned my sister, and at my request she asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. Within a short time I felt more at peace.
In a few days I returned home. The following passage from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy helped me to make the journey home, which included long walks at the airports (pp. 470-471): "The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history."
