So often through the years I have been inspired, encouraged, and healed by reading a testimony in the Christian Science periodicals. Recently I was privileged to see God's healing power made manifest in such a way that I am compelled to write a testimony of my own. Perhaps it will encourage someone else.
Many years ago a small growth appeared in the corner of my eye. At first I paid little attention to it, as it did not bother me in any way and did not seem to be noticeable to others. When it gradually became larger, however, I realized I needed to pray about the situation. I also requested help from a loving Christian Science practitioner whose prayers gave me much support and encouragement.
In addition to praying I studied the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Especially helpful were these passages in Science and Health: "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive" (p. 463) and "Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being. Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit" (p. 264).
