My deepest gratitude goes out to God for the precious gift of Christian Science. I am so grateful that my parents shared this Science with me. Members of my family began studying Christian Science over half a century ago, and I could not begin to enumerate the many healings and blessings received through realizing more of God's nature and His love.

I had difficulty breathing when sleeping on my back. If I ended up on my back during the night I would wake up gasping for breath. Ironically, it never occurred to me to challenge this error.

Several years ago I suffered from a head cold, and breathing became especially difficult when I tried to lie down and rest. I was afraid to sleep for fear I would roll onto my back and not be able to breathe. In my extremity I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. When I mentioned the breathing difficulty she very lovingly told me we do not simply labor for life, inspiration, joy, or freedom; we reflect them as God's image. By realizing that I did not have to labor to live, because Life is God and is infinite, I was completely healed of the longstanding breathing difficulty, as well as the head cold.
