I Have found reliance on Christian Science to be the most loving...
I Have found reliance on Christian Science to be the most loving and efficient method of caring for my children. One healing that proved this for me involved our third daughter. She was a sturdy child who had walked at an early age. But she had extremely bowed legs. When she was about two, some family members began insisting that we consent to surgery for her. My husband and I discussed it; he assured me of his support in whatever decision I made—surgery or Christian Science—but felt I should decide.
At this time a neighbor's child was undergoing medical treatment for the same condition. The procedure was complicated and painful. My heart went out to this sweet little child.
Then Christ Jesus' words came to me (Matt. 7:9, 11): "What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? ... If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
