"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way..."
Isaiah 30:21
O voice of
conscience
quiet, meek,
unheard amid
the din of matter's
confusing dream,
wake me
to hear
your voice—
that inward voice
that was to Moses
like the voice of God.
When off the course—
even a small deviation
leads to a wide divergence—
your voice
calls out
and leads me back.
When on the straight and narrow
I hear the
quietness of peace.
O voice of
conscience
quiet, meek,
let my ears
be open
to hear you speak.
