After years of searching for a practical religion, I found a totally new way of thinking and living. I found Christian Science! How thankful I am for God's leading, for His beautiful answer to my prayers!

Long before I learned of Science, I had been hospitalized with a severe kidney ailment that for a time had threatened my life and the life of our unborn son. I had always been taught that we were supposed to accept whatever God sent into our lives. Yet we were also to pray for God to deliver us from our problems if it was His will. This had left me totally confused on the question of God's love and protection.

A number of months after finding Christian Science, one morning I got up and realized I had all the frightening, painful symptoms of the kidney ailment. My husband decided he would have to take me to the hospital. But first he had to rush to the store so that the children could fix breakfast for themselves. When he left, I called a Christian Science practitioner, because by then I knew that I didn't have to meekly accept disease but could depend on God for healing.
