We often hear, when testimonies of Christian Science healing...
We often hear, when testimonies of Christian Science healing are given, how an expression of lovingkindness in some way contributed toward the healing. I had an experience of lovingkindness being shown to me after I had fallen, hitting my head against a concrete step. (I had been walking down the street at the time this happened.)
Immediately I held fast to this statement on page 424 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection." I also recalled this passage on page 207: "There is but one primal cause. Therefore there can be no effect from any other cause, and there can be no reality in aught which does not proceed from this great and only cause."
A young man picked up my glasses, helped me up, and got some paper napkins from a nearby food vendor for the wound in my head. Then he asked if I was all right. I said, "You have been very kind to help me, and yes, I am all right. Thank you."
