Over thirty years ago I became ill with an internal disorder diagnosed as incurable by my doctor and confirmed by specialists. As I was confined to bed, I reached out in prayer to God for help.
Within a few days a loved one brought me a book entitled Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. In giving me the book, my mother stated that she felt I could be helped if I read and applied its teachings to my situation. The Preface begins (p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I immediately accepted this statement as true for myself. Then I read the entire book.
As I read and pondered the ideas presented, I found I was free from all symptoms of not only the internal disorder but other ailments of long standing. The latter included the tendency to have frequent colds and influenza, chronic constipation, periodic severe cramps, and apparent migraine headaches. These healings have been permanent.
