Many years have elapsed since my first testimony appeared in the Sentinel. So this one is long overdue. Since that first testimony, we have had a number of healings in our family—two of which I would like to share.
At one time our younger son came home saying that he had fallen and was in great pain from a wound to his arm. My husband agreed to our seeking healing through prayer. (My husband was not a Christian Scientist but knew its value and never opposed it in any way.)
Having just had Christian Science class instruction, I felt especially confident in turning to God for the healing. I began with "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. As I strove to understand the truth of this profound statement, the pain left. However, the wound remained and the arm was swollen.
