I have had twenty years of joyous activity since my first testimony was published in the Sentinel in October 1967.

Whenever there is a difficulty to overcome, there is an opportunity for soul-searching. It can be a rewarding time of prayer, of purifying and spiritualizing thought by delving deeply into study of the Bible Lesson (outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly) and using the Concordances to the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings.

Some years ago I suddenly became very uncomfortable with a swollen joint. It was painful for me to walk up and down stairs and to be on my feet for many hours, which was necessary in my work. Many were depending on me at home and at work. In addition to the prayerful studying I was doing, I called a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly prayed for me. The problem soon dissipated, and there has been no recurrence.
