I Was raised in a loving family of Christian Scientists and attended the Christian Science Sunday School until I was twenty During that time I had many wonderful healings of diseases sometimes associated with childhood, as well as healings of relationship difficulties.
Most of the healings I had while growing up were the result of the prayerful efforts of my parents, who were students of Christian Science, or the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner. After leaving home I had difficulty putting into practice what I had been taught as a youngster. Soon I stopped reading the weekly Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly and attending branch church services regularly.
After a time I began drinking socially and smoking. I had marital problems that eventually led to divorce. There were financial difficulties, and after a second unsuccessful marriage I suffered from an ulcerated stomach.
