Keeping thought filled with Truth

One of the explicit demands of Christian Science is that the individual keep his thinking as well as his life on a spiritual level. In a world where we are constantly assaulted by materialism, it might seem impossible to do this. Someone could argue that even if he deeply desired to have hours of communion with God, the demands of daily life are obligatory and unavoidable. But the divine and loving demand for spirituality is still there.

Mrs. Eddy gives this charge: "Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love, that sin, disease, and death cannot enter them. It is plain that nothing can be added to the mind already full. There is no door through which evil can enter, and no space for evil to fill in a mind filled with goodness." The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 210.

Even though directed at Christian Scientists, this is something anyone can do and benefit from, if he understands why and how.
