I am writing this testimony to help and encourage someone who may be facing an experience similar to mine. I have had so many wonderful proofs of God's loving care for His children.

There was a time in my life when my marriage of twenty-six years was dissolved. I was at an age where it would probably be considered difficult, without background or training in business, to obtain and hold even the most menial of jobs. Yet I experienced an abundance of God's love and care. I found it was possible to secure a job while attending night school to learn typing and shorthand, and ultimately I found myself in a very responsible position with an adequate income.

More recently, I had a healing after deep and diligent searching to understand my true selfhood as God's child, made in His image. Here may I say that I am deeply thankful for the loving support and help of a consecrated Christian Science practitioner, who patiently and persistently kept me on the path of spiritual growth. At the time I am speaking of I suffered from lesions on my legs. The condition was painful and required daily dressings. I could stand and walk only with great difficulty. I am grateful for the loving help of a Christian Science nurse, who showed me how to apply the dressings. Despite the problem, I was able to fulfill my duties as Second Reader in my branch church, something that has meant a lot to me.
