"If you can say it, you can write it"

My friend had just shared healing inspiration he'd received while watching sunlight turn a cobweb into a mass of colorful jewels. He was giving a testimony during a Wednesday evening meeting at a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. After the meeting I thanked him and suggested he put the testimony in writing to share through the Christian Science periodicals. "But I can't write!" he protested. I assured him that if he could say it, he could write it, and God would help him.

Now don't stop reading this article just because you've discovered it's about writing for the periodicals! It has been prepared especially for you. How many times have you shared a healing thought, some fresh inspiration from studying the Bible Lesson, Found in the Christian Science Quarterly. a spiritual insight gained during a beautiful or difficult experience, brought comfort to someone in need? Surely you can say you've done at least one of the above.

If you want to share, you've taken step number one. In the first chapter of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." Science and Health, p. 1.
