Individual decisions: collective blessings

The contemporary issues society is wrestling with today are at heart deeply moral questions. And many people feel that individual decisions and stands regarding these moral questions should change and relax because the mores of humanity have changed —or in other words, "Everybody is doing it, why shouldn't I?"

There's a good reason. Moral standards based on the eternal truth that man is spiritual can never change. Man is wholly spiritual, not an animal or a biological machine but the incorporeal, immortal image of God, eternal Life. The truth that man is God's own spiritual likeness is permanent. The genuine selfhood of each one of us is God's man, the spiritually complete reflection of the Father-Mother God.

Decisions proceeding from the mistaken belief that man is a physical, vulnerable mortal tend to cloud our vision or close our eyes to the truth of man's satisfied identity in God.
