My gratitude for Christian Science will never cease
My gratitude for Christian Science will never cease. This logical teaching has been my mainstay for the past half century.
At one time prior to learning of Science, I was in a very confused state. It was during my late teens, and I was trying to understand what life was all about. I suffered severely from dyspepsia then and the problem reached a point where I found that nothing I ate agreed with me. Also I was plagued with a bowel disorder. A doctor did his best to help me, but to no avail. Although I had been confirmed in an orthodox Christian church, I felt unable to confide in the minister, because the possibility of spiritual healing was not even recognized.
At this time a family friend came to visit and mentioned in the course of conversation that she had attended a Christian Science lecture, which told of healings that had taken place through prayer in Christian Science. (She herself is a Scientist.)
