Understanding your worthiness
How vital is this moment! We can never again live a past moment, a past hour, or a past day. We may think about it, talk about it, or dream about it, but we cannot live it again. This simple fact points us toward a deeper spiritual truth which can help us meet daily problems and wipe out the miserable effects of an unhappy past.
In the Bible we read, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God." I John 3:2. Clearly, John, that inspired follower of Christ Jesus, saw the necessity of claiming our sonship with God in the eternal now.
Mrs. Eddy, writing in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, comments, "'Now,' cried the apostle, 'is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,'—meaning, not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life." Science and Health, p. 39.
