Our true stature in Christ

Christ Jesus, our beloved Master, embodied the perfect stature of man, God's image and likeness. As followers of the Master, we have his example to emulate in every facet of our lives. Mrs. Eddy writes in her article "To the Christian World": "Infinite perfection is unfolded as man attains the stature of man in Christ Jesus by means of the Science which Jesus taught and practised."^{The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 103.}

This Science of Christianity, or Christian Science, which Mrs. Eddy discovered, explains that our true stature is completely spiritual. It cannot be understood by examining physical measurements, skeletal alignments, and muscular arrangement. By maintaining in thought and demonstrating in our lives man's uprightness and beauty as God's image and likeness, we do experience more enduring strength, health, and well-being. Immortal man's stature gives him dominion, and we can demonstrate that dominion from head to toe.

If stature were the result of an arrangement of muscles and bones, spiritualizing our thought of ourselves would have little effect. But because stature is actually spiritual and because, as Jesus showed, spiritual truth is demonstrable Science, we can express our God-derived nature in such qualities as unlimited intelligence and integrity, divine energy and substance, eternal strength, health, and holiness.
