You're lovely, not lonely!
The red light was blinking on the answering machine. A Christian Scientist put away the marketing in the kitchen and returned to pick up the waiting calls.
She listed the names of the callers with their messages. One caller said, "I'm calling because I'm so lonely. I'd love to have a little chat with you. It'll give me a lift." Later on, when returning the calls, she noted that the word lonely had been scribbled in such a way that lonely looked like lovely. By changing only one letter, lonely became lovely, and loveliness is a quality of God, divine Love.
"This is an angel message," she thought. "It will help me to comfort my friend." And for further inspiration she turned to God.
