FOR CHILDREN
A lesson from the lions' den
When the weather started getting cold, Brooks and his mom discovered that he had outgrown his winter jacket. So one evening they went shopping. They went to several stores where Brooks tried on many different warm jackets. Some had hoods; others just had collars.
While they were in the last store, Brooks tried on a bluejacket which had a big collar that came up to cover his face from the wind. When Mom pulled the zipper all the way up the jacket, Brooks's lip got in the way. Mom quickly upzipped the jacket, but his lip was bleeding, and it hurt. Brooks started crying. Mom hugged him close to her. She told Brooks God was right there with them.
They went home, and on the way Mom talked about God. She said that God loves His children, and He knows they are always perfect. He cares for them, so they never really could be hurt.
