Night light

How beautiful the moonlight!
I rise to know a radiance sourced in Soul.
And, bathed in beams of undimmed, dreamless knowing,
I find reflection bright, unshadowed, whole.

How light the night about me!
To God belongs the dusk, the dark, the dawn.
The blaze of Truth eternal in the heavens
Is mine at midnight as at mirrored morn.

How lucid Spirit's purpose!
To know the night's transparence right for prayer;
Each spacious moment light with bright reflection;
And thought awake to duty's nightly care.

How glorious is Mind's oneness!
The lull of sleep would veil it, would preclude.
Refreshed, reposed, and strengthened for tomorrow,
I rest light-crowned, Immanueled, imbued.
