The oracle

MARY ELIZABETH LEEVER

During my study today I discovered
healing truths for the troubles of others.
I stored them on mental "cassettes"
to deliver whenever the right moment occurred.
(It was clear to me how those loved ones erred.)
I rehearsed and refined my little vignettes.

Then
pondering Truth's self-evidence and
Love's ever-mothering presence and
man without flaw
always under God's law
I set my dear ones free!

And I listened to those sermonettes
for me.
