"The miracle of grace"
"The miracle of grace is no miracle to Love," Science and Health, p. 494. declares Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health. When one has experienced the blessing of God's grace, one knows that divine Love is ever present in any and every situation. But limited, fear-filled thinking, instead of trusting God, is quick to measure and be daunted by unfavorable odds.
Christ Jesus often found it necessary to urge those who sought his help to have deeper understanding of God's power. He said to Martha, the sister of Lazarus: "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" John 11:40.
Jesus expressed God, divine Mind, more fully than anyone else. His mighty career proved that the power of God is above all physical laws and that by understanding God we can rise above material limitation. In connection with Jesus' raising of Lazarus, Science and Health explains, "A miracle fulfils God's law, but does not violate that law." Science and Health, p. 134.
