I had been going to a Christian Science Sunday School for only a year and a half when one day I was helping one of my father's friends move into a new house. Something happened to my ankle, and I woke up in the middle of the night because it was hurting me. I finally went back to sleep, but when I woke up in the morning it was still hurting. When I tried to get out of bed, I could hardly walk.
My mother asked me if I wanted to pray in Christian Science about it. I said, "I guess so." So we read the Bible Lesson [outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly] together. Afterward she asked me if my ankle has a mind of its own to say that it is hurt. I said, "No." I thought about how God's man reflects the divine Mind and is perfect. The next thing I knew, my ankle felt fine.
I am grateful for this healing and for Christian Science. As we understand and trust God, we can be healed quickly.
