I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School from the age of two until I was twenty. Being raised in Christian Science was a wonderful experience.

I would like to share what I feel has been an outstanding healing. It occurred when I was seventeen. My parents were away for the weekend in a distant city and could not be reached by telephone. A girlfriend and I went on a picnic with some friends, but I had to ask them to bring me home early in the day, as I became very ill. I called a Christian Science practitioner as soon as I got home, and she lovingly agreed to pray for me.

Then I went to bed and thought about the spiritual truths I had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. I thought about the Lord's Prayer, given to us by our Way-shower, Christ Jesus (Matt. 6:9-13), and the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy (pp. 16–17).
