What happened to Dee and Reid and Chloe
Sometimes people are afraid. It can be because something has happened—like falling off a bicycle or getting into trouble for breaking things. Or we can be scared by what someone else says or does—that's what happens in Chloe's story. But the point is—no matter what tries to hurt us or make us afraid, prayer can wipe out fear. When we pray to God we're saying we want to be close to Him. We want and trust His thoughts, not fearful thoughts, to show us what to do and think. And by listening we hear good thoughts from God, the way Reid did.
Christ Jesus prayed a lot. He said to pray quietly by ourselves. When we love God we are praying. Maybe that's why Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matt. 5:8.
Jesus healed people because he loved them so much, and he knew God doesn't cause pain or fear. He knew he was God's Son and that God loved him.
