Two years ago, over the Thanksgiving holidays, my husband and I drove to Colorado. Our two children were with us, and we were to attend a family reunion and to enjoy some skiing. While he was out on the slopes skiing with his dad, our seven-year-old son fell and injured his ankle. He was in great pain and unable to walk, so we carried him to the cabin where we were staying and made him as comfortable as possible.

Because we felt in need of help, we called a Christian Science practitioner in my hometown, who lovingly agreed to pray for the child. The practitioner assured us that the boy was safe and in God's care, and she referred us to the comforting statements regarding accidents on page 424 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
