I have been an active worker in the Christian Science movement for over fifty years, attending Sunday School until the age of twenty, when I joined a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and The Mother Church. Our family has had many wonderful proofs of the power of Christian Science.

During the Depression my father passed on, leaving my mother with four girls to raise. The proofs of God's provision experienced at the time helped us all realize that practicing Christian Science in daily life brings true harmony and security.

I wish to share one healing which has been a great inspiration to me. Although my husband is not a Christian Scientist, he has never opposed my study and practice of Science, and he early agreed that the children might attend a Christian Science Sunday School. When I went to a doctor (it is compulsory in British Columbia) about my fourth pregnancy, as I was then in my forties, medical beliefs about late-in-life pregnancies were voiced. The first thing I realized was that I must see and acknowledge that there is only one law—the law of God. Together with the Christian Science practitioner who was praying for me, I held to the fact that age has no place in God's kingdom. All went well.
