The teachings of Christian Science have bountifully blessed...
The teachings of Christian Science have bountifully blessed me through the years, and I often express my deep appreciation for the good I have received—especially for healing.
About twenty years ago my wife and I began sharing insights we gained through daily study of the Bible Lessons (outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly). The first time we did this, the subject of the lesson was "Life." I remember realizing at the time that man never really dies; that because Life is Spirit, God, and man is God's reflection, man's Life is eternal. During succeeding years my wife and I would often recall these truths. Later, this spiritual understanding helped me overcome the sense of loss and dispelled the mist of grief when my wife passed on.
However despondent I felt or was tempted to feel at that time, I did not forget that my wife and I had seen in no small degree that Life, God, is indestructible; that God is man's Life and the continuity of his existence.
