Nearly seventy years ago a joy-filled letter from a family member, telling of her healing of a tumor through Christian Science, so impressed a sister and me that we decided to look into this religion. At the time, my sister and I were students in a state university, and we were reaching out for new ideas. We had been brought up in a Protestant religion that no longer satisfied us and were ready for something more meaningful.
Proof of the healing power of Christian Science came to me soon afterward, when I was healed of migraine headaches just through reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
Some time later we learned that another family member had been healed—of epilepsy of many years' standing. (The healings of tumor and epilepsy were related in earlier testimonies published in the Sentinel.)
