Several months ago, as I was carrying a container of hot liquid, I tripped on the stairs. Not only were my left arm and chest scalded, but I also fell with great force on my rib cage. Moving was quite uncomfortable.
I prayed for myself for several days and did not tell anyone else in the family what had happened. (No one had been home when the incident occurred.)
One day my daughter touched the affected arm. I must have grimaced, for she asked me what was the matter, and I told her. We both felt it wise to call a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me. His statements assuring me that God's man is unfallen and unharmed, plus his clearsightedness in seeing the absolute unreality of this belief of accident, were helpful and comforting.
