Praise God!

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." Henry David Thoreau, Walden, Chap. 1 . Henry Thoreau may have overstated the case to make a point. But if his observation is true even in a degree, is it because there's too little praise in the heart of humanity?

If one's life doesn't offer upwelling glory to God, existence is little more than a formless shadow confined in the corners of human experience. Yet when we love God and honor Him not just in public view but in the very conduct of our daily affairs, we come forth into the brilliance of a life that has purpose, substance, and unlimited possibilities for good. The Psalmist had it right when he rejoiced, "While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being." Ps. 146:2.

Many people today do genuinely love God, but many others don't consider it especially important to live one's life for the glory of God—or they don't consider it at all. Perhaps some may feel it's embarrassing to express praise to the Divine Being, the unseen creator and cause of all reality.
