What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward...

"What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?" (Ps. 116:12). Since I attended my first Wednesday testimony meeting at our local branch Church of Christ, Scientist, some years ago, I have acknowledged God's plan for His creation and felt His guidance in my life.

I have had proof of God's constant, loving care time and again. I was in poor shape mentally and physically when I first began attending the branch church. However, soon I was invited to become the regular soloist for the church, and I served with joy in that capacity for over nineteen years.

While I was so new in Christian Science that I scarcely understood even the fundamental spiritual truths of this teaching, I was healed of severe thyroid trouble. (Doctors had told me that an operation would be necessary.) After a few visits with a Christian Science practitioner, I returned home one day and threw away all the pills. I forgot about being unwell and thought no more about having an operation. That was over twenty-two years ago, and my health was restored. But it wasn't until much later that I understood Christian Science sufficiently to be able to put it into practice for myself.
