Through Christian Science prayer I've known God's healing, protecting, and guiding power since I was a little child. The wonderful spiritual truths of Science continue to heal and bless me and my husband—and now heal and bless our children.

Once when our son was three, he pulled open some drawers of a very heavy, oversize mahogany dresser we own. Apparently this caused the dresser to fall forward, and it pinned him underneath. When my husband and I heard our son's screams, we ran to him and lifted off the dresser. Then, taking the child in my arms, I sang Hymn No. 207 from the Christian Science Hymnal (words by Mrs. Eddy). It begins:
