Over a period of years, I have felt great gratitude for the truths of Christian Science given us in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I did not come into Christian Science for healing but rather out of curiosity. Before my marriage I had met people who expressed so much joy and love that I just had to find out why they always seemed so happy. Plenty of good came their way. They had sound health, meaningful jobs, and expressed fearlessness in all their activities. Often I found that these individuals were studying Christian Science.

After my marriage I learned that my husband's mother and sister were students of this Science. From time to time they gave me articles on Christian Science and copies of the Sentinel. They also shared spiritual truths that helped me in raising my children. I finally bought a copy of Science and Health and began to study too. The children were enrolled in the local Christian Science Sunday School.
