Christian Scientists in higher education around the world are invited to attend a meeting at The Mother Church in the interest of university and college organizations. Sessions will begin Friday evening, August 16, 1985, and conclude Sunday afternoon, August 18. Faculty, instructors, and students, as well as secondary school students or others planning to enroll at a college or university during 1985-1986, are encouraged to make plans to attend. Organization advisors are also welcome.

Mary Baker Eddy tells us that "Christian Science meets a yearning of the human race for spirituality." Science and Health, p. 111 . Those attending the meeting—both faculty and students—will explore how the exercise of Mrs. Eddy's provision in the Manual of The Mother Church for these organizationsSee Man., Art. XXIII, Sect. 8 . can help bring genuine spiritual awakening to the academic community. Portions of the meeting will be devoted to a thoughtful appraisal of organization activities, such as testimony meetings, lectures, and sharing of periodicals and other literature in effective and intelligent ways.
