NOTICES

What joy, comfort, and inspiration can come from listening to the songs in the Christian Science Hymnal! The new cassette "Familiar hymns of love and healing" presents 15 favorite hymns that were originally recorded in the early 1960's for the radio program "How Christian Science Heals." Two of these hymns are poems by Mary Baker Eddy, set to music. The soloists are Kenny Baker, Ula Beale, McHenry Boatwright, J. Alden Edkins, and Frederick Jagel.

For a pleasing change of pace, the cassette also features four inspiring poems from the Christian Science Sentinel— "All-presence" by Peter J. Henniker-Heaton, "Today" by Althea Brooks Hollenbeck, "Before the Dawn" by Lyle M. Crist, and "Prayer" by Elisabeth Melichar Marth.

"True Health" by L. Ivimy Gwalter deals with the true, spiritual basis of health, as revealed in Christian Science, and its practical demonstration in individual experience. This article was first published in The Christian Science Journal of July 1953. It was later reprinted as a leaflet with the same title and subsequently was included in the pamphlet "Precepts for Healing," both of which are now out of print.
