Accomplishing more
Christ Jesus accomplished so much in his three-year ministry of healing and teaching that today, nearly two thousand years later, the infinite meaning of that ministry is still unfolding fresh lessons to those who seek them. No wonder Jesus could reverently say in prayer to his heavenly Father, when his ministry was drawing to a close, "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do." John 17:4.
The Master knew what gave him the love and power that sustained him in his work. He said, "The Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." John 8:29.
When our aims are in accord with God, sinless good, we too are supported in our work. The Christ, which Jesus exemplified, is ever present to settle, strengthen, and successfully establish workers who are ready and willing to serve God. A better understanding of Christ as the divine idea of true manhood—as our own ideal nature—unfolds within us through Christian Science. This understanding, when demonstrated, brings inspiration and energy to forward our work to accomplishment.
