Nothing's too trivial for prayer
A friend was taking a driving test. She was extremely nervous and was even saying she might ask a doctor for tranquilizers. Knowing that she was an enthusiastic member of a neighboring church, I suggested that she pray about it. "Oh I couldn't do that. I wouldn't want to bother God with something so trivial," she said. "He hasn't got time for such small things."
Does this suggestion of God's "busyness" or lack of time sometimes put a barrier between the Christian and prayer? Perhaps we should take another look at the Master's example.
Through prayer Christ Jesus met the human need in whatever form it took. There is no mention in the Bible that Jesus debated whether difficulties were too small to heal, or whether God his Father would have time to spare—he simply healed!
