How do you "look away from the body"?
As I was reading the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I came upon this statement: "Look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality." Science and Health, p. 261.
I had often read this sentence before. In fact, it was one to which I had turned many times; I had always thought that it was such a wonderful statement. But in reading it this particular time, I was challenged by the thought, How can I actually "look away from the body into Truth and Love"? How can I follow this admonition and prove the truth? The next line gave the answer: "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."
It became clear that because I was in reality the expression of divine Mind, God, I could obey this command and experience in my daily living the power that obedience to Truth brings.
