Your environment? Perfect peace!
Deep concern about the quality of the environment touches our daily lives. The places where we work, our neighborhoods, even our homes can seem unclean, unsightly, or uncomfortably noisy at times. Many people are working sincerely to eliminate forms of pollution that impose on the public.
Such efforts are commendable, and we can rightly encourage them through appropriate channels. But is this all we really can do?
Christian Science teaches that man lives in the kingdom of heaven here and now. Christ Jesus said plainly, "The kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21. And Mrs. Eddy defines "heaven" as "harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul." Science and Health, p. 587.
