Abundance here, now

When Peter and his fellow fishermen had toiled all night and had caught nothing, Christ Jesus asked them to try again. Then "they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake." Their catch was so large that it "filled both the ships." Luke 5:6, 7. How could this be?

Jesus taught his disciples to look away from the lying testimony of material sense and to view things instead from the standpoint of Spirit, God. On one occasion the Master declared: "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." John 4:35.

Christian Science teaches that deficiency of any type is not a fact of being but an error of material sense—the false sense that claims the absence of omnipresent God, Love. This lying sense whispers that God does not always care for His beloved image and likeness, man. But God and His image are inseparable. Love's allness therefore precludes lack. Mind, God, knows nothing of deficiency. No matter how complicated or longstanding the evidence of lack is, it yields when we consistently affirm the potent, present truth of God's allness.
